John A. McWilliams
John’s practice is focused on insurance defense litigation, with an emphasis on workers’ compensation matters. Mr. McWilliams has additional experience in litigating matters involving property law, professional malpractice, products liability, and premises liability. He has been involved in all stages of litigation, from initial pleadings to appeal. Mr. McWilliams also has extensive experience in writing legal briefs for state and federal trial and appellate courts. He is licensed to practice in Nebraska, with a bar application pending in Missouri.
John obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and his law degree from Creighton University. Prior to attending law school, Mr. McWilliams also obtained a graduate degree in English from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and taught college-level composition courses.
John is an active participant in the Nebraska State Bar Association, serving on the Barristers’ Ball Committee since 2017.
Outside of the office, he enjoys yardwork, baking, and rescue dogs.
